@minion3665 @emattiza I think I understand what's going with that part now, but I'm not sure how the syntax works with nix build

I usually just do nix build or nix build .#executable. I've seen some invocations that refer to systems directly (nix build .#executable.x86_64-linux) but those don't work for me, it shows a full path with system.blah.x86_64-darwin.blah.x86_64-linux. There's conventions here I can't find docs about.

#osquery defense kit v1.6.0 just dropped with some new #blueteam queries:

- unencrypted #GCP service account keys
- unexpected #sysctl calls
- unexpected #xattr calls
- unexpected file made #executable
- unexpected Security.Framework program

There's a workaround to let Windows Search see executables (.exe .vbs) again. It broke after a system update last week.

Turn off "web results" with the following registry tweak and reboot (or just restart Explorer if you know how). It makes local search much faster, too.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]
"DisableSearchBoxSuggestions"=dword:00000001
