We are a long-term project based in Berlin (Germany).
Started in 2011, the project edits and other texts by key authors of : Eusebius of Caesarea, Cyril of Alexandria, Hesychius of Jerusalem, Procopius of Gaza, Severian of Gabala and Theodoret of Cyrrhus. Their commentaries and sermons are important in the history of because of their powerful influence in the medieval and early modern periods, but they are also an intriguing branch of ancient literary , and, as such, are of great interest for literary and historical studies, philology and philosophy.
The editions are published online (and open access) in the Patristic Text Archive () and in print in the series "Die griechischen christlichen Schriftsteller (GCS)" (DeGruyter).

finally: the -scraps that litter are almost unreadably dull, but i'm tempted to see their undigested presentation as shrewd --they make no sense *in a novel* any more than in a mind, so presents them as cognitive/narrative intrusions, chewing up precious brain-cycles and readerly saccades alike, posing the same problem for readers that they did for Dick during and after 2-3-74.

he can't go back to being the novelist he was, is part of the point.

I'm not ready to admit that the bars of the Black Iron Prison are coming loose or anything, but today I did find excepts of 's bound into a book on looted antiquities, right in the middle of a chapter titled "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing."

What are the good book series of historical-critical biblical commentaries in English?

Sometimes I need a quick check, and I never know if the commentaries I find on LibGen or SciHub are scientific or evangelical.

If the season has inspired you to learn more about , I heartily recommend the book How Jesus Became God by Bart D Ehrman. It will help you answer questions like “Where the hell did the fantastical New Testament stories come from?” and “How the hell can we know any facts about Jesus when all we've got is religious propaganda?” It's a great crash course in and a compelling, well-argued narrative. The author has a blog and many other books. harpercollins.com/products/how

Just got an email that my seminary can now open up some of their digital library to alumni. This is great news. I really hope my favorite commentary series are in that catalog.

I just stumbled on a gloss by Moses Arragel (Castile 15th c.) critiquing Maimonides' interpretation of Exodus 3:14 in which Arragel likens Maimonides' Moses to a "truhan" (con man) telling Israel "chufa" (lies) (there is a good explanation.....)

I was given an extension on a short paper that was due a few weeks ago (I've turned in the subsequent ones). Taking the class P/D/F and realized I will still pass the class if I don't turn it in. Please convince me I should do the paper.
