extraire des traces gpx du format chelou de méta données de #kartaview, et déduire les coordonnés GPS d'une série de photos correspondantes pour les y appliquer et envoyer le tout à panoramax. il y a un script pour ça :

So, mein #Google #Takeout meiner Fotos ist aufbereitet. Datum/Zeit korrigiert. #EXIF nachgepflegt. Dateinamenserweiterungen korrigiert. Schon gesicherte Fotos auf dem Synology NAS ausgefiltert.

Nun werden die Dateien hochgeladen. 33.000 abzüglich der paar Tausend, die schon über das Smartphone gesynct wurden.

Die Indizierung läuft automatisch an. Gesichtserkennung und Geolokation läuft. Thumbnails werden erstellt. Das wird wohl ein paar Stunden brauchen.

2/4 I do so: “complaint” means you must give them your mobile phone number (!) get a code, I send them a selfie holding a paper with that code written on it! I hate it, but I decide to play the game (and I don’t retouch the picture, remove #EXIF info, …).

4/4 1 communication est moins professionnelle qu’un phishing lui-même ! L’image fournie est parfaite, non-retouchée (j’étais tenté de retirer les infos #EXIF mais j’ai accepté de jouer leur jeu !). Selon moi, le refus provient du fait que nous n’utilisons pas l’app, leur fournissant moins d’infos, et nous utilisons un navigateur « container », leur en fournissant encore moins.

J’aimerais avoir vos impressions, j’envisage de publier de façon plus large (éventuellement des journalistes). Merci !

Vous connaissez les données EXIF ? Ce sont ces métadonnées "cachées" dans vos photos et vidéos, qui donnent beaucoup de détails y compris votre position GPS. Cela peut en déranger certains qui préfèrent rester anonymes, et qui peuvent ainsi par mégarde donner leurs détails personnels.

Et bien sachez que dans Mastodon ces données sont effacées (et ainsi personne ne les verra). C'est la même chose pour d'autres réseaux sociaux, sauf qu'ici on vous garantit qu'on ne les voit pas et qu'on ne les conserve pas !

Certains photographes peuvent regretter ce comportement (car les données #exif peuvent contenir des metadonnées intéressantes) mais notre priorité ici est sur la protection de la vie privée.

Can you add extra meta data to images in the same way you can with music files?

Like, could you make an app that reads the GPS coordinates from the EXIF data, looks up the human readable name of the place of those coordinates, and adds that info to the meta data, so that any application that wants could read this position data and let you search for images taken in for example Oslo, Norway, or even in the Grünerløkka part of Oslo?

Dis mastodon, on m'a demandé de récupérer des fichiers sur un disque dur qui déconne.
J'ai utilisé photorec, mais la personne à qui je rends service aimerait que les #photos récupérées soient un tant soit peu rangées.
J'ai pas trouvé de #script et j'ai pas le temps d'essayer d'en coder un.
Tu aurais ça sous la main ?
Un bout de code #bash ou #python qui pourrait trier les photos dans une arbo année/mois en fonction de la date de prise de vue des données #exif ?

Adding: for content creators it would be nice to respect the copyright info in EXIF and/or IPTC, since it's been put there for a reason. Happy to have the other fields cleared (esp for privacy, location, serial numbers) but I find it offensive the default is to strip the copyright as well.
