On May 4, 1982, a day after the british sinking on the ARA General Belgrano cruiser, two Argentine #SuperEtendards counterattacked.
Two AM39 #Exocet anti-ship missiles were fired at a large radar-emitting naval target located south of the Malvinas Islands, by Capt Augusto Bedacarratz and Lt. Armando Mayorga.
That day British sources confirmed a Type 42 destroyer hit: she was HMS Sheffield.
The hostilities in the #Malvinas had escalated into a undeclared war.
