@Yakkafo this could be an interesting moment to learn that the animals which were previously aggressive (seeing your tools, noise, heat) are now okay with you, further strengthening the loop / the core approach of watching and learning.
I think #Exocolonist does a really good job with the atmosphere of the Night Month with its Glow.
I want to share my #LGBT #videoGame safe space because it is a real tool when I struggle with normativity.
"I was a teenage #exocolonist" is a narrative #RPG where you play a colonist born in a spaceship and surviving on a planet.
The game is a safe space for me because #LGBT topics are just normalised. There are gay, lesbian, polyamourous, agenders, trans, nonbinaries, aro, asexuals and it is not a topic at all. It is just basic in this world and it's so relieving.
AMA if you want info.

Just finished I Was A Teenage #Exocolonist. That was a great game. I’m very tempted to do another playthrough because there’s obviously so much more there. Just not sure about the time commitment. It feels like you could play through this and get all sorts of different endings and discoveries.
Excellent recommendation from @tamrielo. Thanks again for pointing me at this one 🙂
Ordered the texts for "Crafting Diverse Relationships" offered by https://writingtheother.com - probably another spark from playing I Was a Teenage #Exocolonist .
#Exocolonist Sol and Tammy share a rainbow cake. An art prompt from a Pride month calendar. Meilee Chao's reference art below.
Layman's question for our #gamedev , #gamedesign and #VisualNovel crowd:
Do you know any good resources on using different mechanics in visual novels and how they impact the player?
I know that #Exocolonist did awesome things with its card economy by forcing you to choose friends (experiences generate cards) and rest over mindlessly grinding skills (more in https://www.thegamer.com/stardew-valley-labour-animal-crossing-cult-of-the-lamb-exocolonist/ ).
Any good overview, wiki, categorization?

@dudenas on a separate note, if you're interested in a #solarpunk game, I highly recommend #exocolonist http://exocolonist.com/ for dozens of reasons: the community there, the open questions of human - nature relationships, the traumas, grieving together, hopes and joys, for dozens of endings.
WIP of display tag to show off cards from the physical #Exocolonist deck. Anemone and Nomi-Nomi complete, Marzipan in progress. Singer Sewing Machine Company luggage tag pattern.
Speaking of, I just found https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1734418624 - an interview with one of the writers of the #Exocolonist
#Exocolonist WIP, Marzipan display tag. Front holds a card in a vinyl window. Reverse shows "Command" banner design. More embellishment, assembly of front and back, and attachment of cord are remaining.
#Exocolonist Marzipan tag, draft of both sides. I will probably go for a smaller Command banner on the reverse. Haven't figured out the attachment cord.
#Exocolonist WIP Marzipan card display tag based on Singer Sewing Machine Co. luggage tag (though all hand-stitched).
Simultaneously called out by this video game and disappointed there's not a sassy reply about how It's Called Fieldwork U Condescending [SPOILERY INSULT]. I felt seen tho 😅 #exocolonist #fieldgeology
I've been engrossed with a little indie game title called "I was a teenage Exocolonist", noticed it got nominated for a game award and went into it based on the cool premise but I had no idea how cool the story is and how it unfolds. I'll be doing replays for sure and I never do that with games. http://exocolonist.com/
by the way it's on sale on steam rn
Great job Northway Games!

More fancraft for I Was a Teenage #Exocolonist. I found a scrap of green leather at Seattle ReCreative with texture similar to the scaly scars on the character Anemone.
Continuing with fan craft for #Exocolonist -- our favorite sportsball hero, loyal friend, and defender of humanity, Anemone. Vinyl windowed luggage tag pattern from the Singer Sewing Machine Company.
Wow so many great games came out this year. I keep thinking 'what that came out THIS YEAR?'
That said, it's easy to choose my GOTY. None will be surprised that it's
