Malaysia on Wednesday joined India in protesting a new Chinese map that lays claim to India’s territory and Malaysia’s maritime areas near Borneo island ahead of next week's Group of 20 summit in New Delhi. Malaysia's foreign ministry in a statement rejected China’s “unilateral claims” and added the map is “not binding” to the country.

Walter, you're not wrong.

The problem with #russia is, however, that no-one can "see a way back" for it. Not because of prevalent performative military-#jingoigm, but because there is no "back" there; russia was never washed over by a #civilization based on #morality or rules (however imperfect those rules might've been — see the crimes of every other #expansionist empire in history...)

There are decent, even admirable people borne out of that cesspool, but the "nation" that is *fundamentally* built on toxic, remorseless and *limitless* #colonialism could well be characterized as "unsalvageable". IMHO.

We agree and have been relentless on economic and env issues but to a point. The west has an #expansionist #warEconomy that has funded the *worst* of them. Many times it will be impossible to tell who is a sweet talking murderous drone operator or #bankster and who isn't.

The last two decades has brought this into sharp focus. Journalists are often murdered, imprisoned etc and compliant #corporateState muppets put in.

#China loves to present itself as a friendly force of peace and progress. But in the #SouthChinaSea aka East Vietnam Sea or West Philippines Sea or North Indonesian Sea this #authoritarian and highly #militaristic one-party state shows its true and nasty, #expansionist nature. It's not just #Indonesia that's facing China's expansionism, it's also #Vietnam, the #Philippines, #Brunei, #Taiwan - and yes, #India. Don't be a cunt in 2020 - don't act like #Beijing.
