Payday loans are crazy #expensive, often close to 60% p.a. (sixty!) if you include the fees. Charging above 60% is #criminal #usury in #Canada. However, loans of up to $1500 are exempt, so the typical payday loan #lender could charge even more.

Needing the most expensive is just an excuse why your current results suck. Oh no, it's not my ability, it's just just I don't have the most #expensive #equipment. Case in point: many use $15 tin whistles; I sometimes use $3 plastic whistles in my recordings, and nobody would know. Or a $20 melodica for live performances. If it works, it works. It's the same with many other occupations. Photography, cooking, whatever.

If there was a way to replace them all with a simpler, cheaper to #administer program, I would be all for it - if it didn't provide a disincentive for the people to work, earn a living, and develop some well-earned self-respect.
I have never seen a #UBI proposal that anticipated the moral hazard problem, much less a #solution to it.
