Michael Snow has been, for me and my personal history with the moving image, one of the most important artists to discover, watching for the first time La Région centrale at 17 or 18 was a revelation.
R.I.P. to an absolute giant.

A recurring frustration that I've encountered over the years is when I vaguely remember some video I saw in one of my film classes back in the eighties and for the life of me I can't remember exactly what it was and can't find it online. There are several experimental shorts and some video essays that profs showed us that I so wish I could locate. I have only the vaguest recollection of a few images and knowing that I loved them at the time.
