Well, I quite like how this experiment #painting turned out. It’s sort of a blue hibiscus almost. I got some really groovy effects using the chain pull from an old ceiling fan, and a 60 ml horse syringe loaded up with some layered, leveled, acrylics. I’ll be honest though, I’m not sure which direction is up, for hanging. #art #play #experimenting

The two main #DreamsOfAmarna panels were to have a second layer, gauze screen printed with the heads of #Akhenaten and #Nefertiti. I'm experimenting here with crosshatching using #Inktense blocks instead. I've been told water makes permanent, so my experimental Akhenaten is now drying in the bath!

So... my black paper did not survive the fibre-tip pens. This means my art book definitely won't survive them.

I don't know how I feel about using my canvas paper art pad for anything but paint. Plus it's atop the book case and I'm too fatigued to stand up.

Now I'm drawing simple flowers and leaves in my art pad using gel pens. I love them, but they run out so quickly. 24 different colours and I'm about to kill the dark green pen lol

Second practice panel. This is Smooth Passing No4, rather finer than the Jap in the first panel. It behaves better, but the fact that it's so fine is making me nervous about coverage.
Still, practice and all that. If I practise with something difficult, and use something easier, that will make everything go with a swing!
I'm also trialling working vertically, rather than across the body, and I'm preferring that, too.

Music went great today. Progress on a new arrangement of Silver Pines, trying it out on guitar instead of piano and synths. I relax so much more with guitar. It was such a difference. I’m so much more comfortable with an instrument I can hug lol. Tone exploring on guitar in GarageBand. Recording experiment for vocals and piano on the iPad with the Snowball mic.
