Today, I conducted more experiments with SeaweedFS and rclone. I've discovered some interesting uses that I plan to delve into in the coming days. Tiered storage can be beneficial for certain organizations with specific needs. Testing will be necessary.
Officially, mounting on #FreeBSD should work, but in practice, it claims not to be supported. Tomorrow, I'll reach out to the developer, who is usually very kind and helpful.

The #freezer #experiments for #diy excess #solar power usage/"storage" ("charge" salt water to ice during the day, let it melt during the night) continue. Today: duty cycle with dust, cleaned and currently running: 16x 120x120mm cooling fans. Theory: if the radiator stays 10°C cooler the compressor needs to work with 10°C less temperature difference = better efficiency / lower duty cycle.

While these particular #experiments in #freedom may not be successful. These particualr #open #protocols may not thrive in the end. Future generations may look at this time and draw serious inspiration just as the #americans did in our #declaration of #independence, and all those people at that time did, from their ancient #roman #ancestors
