Spent yesterday at #exploreJPL with a middle schooler excited to see all the coolness.
Looking at my photos today, there is plenty to smile at but none to share.
In times past I’ve blogged JPL open houses, I’ve shared via NASA Social events. At those times I’ve had an audience of “as many as possible.” But yesterday it was an audience of one or two + a sibling group text.
And yet here I am, posting that It Was So Cool and I’m so glad I went. No pictures, but it DID happen. 🥰
#ingenuity flying in earth's atmosphere with the rotor at 400rpm, rather than the Martian 2800rpm. The rotor blades are incredibly light.

Fascinating: the two golden squares on this #sunrise probe model are the uplink (left) and downlink (right) antennae. The probe is approximately one banana wide and two bananas high. #explorejpl #jpl
Did not know: last October #voyager1 saw a gamma-ray burst about 19 hours before it was detected on earth. #explorejpl #jpl
More than 25,000 visitors at #ExploreJPL this weekend!
