@undefined @mekkaokereke @AlexanderVI " I don't know you can, in practical terms, separate the laws from the enforcers"

I meant in the context where it was clear what the laws are - but some enforcers are not even abiding by those laws.

"Both should be candidates for reform"

That is certainly correct in some contexts.

As someone that generally studies corruption from governments and industries regarding environmental issues. Even though in "theory" and law; fraud is illegal - many governments both permit and take part in greenwashing the public.

Because they have made their wealth by degrading and exploiting nature (e.g., deforestation, and selling air-polluting fuels).

So, mitigating that corruption - will also improve social justice in general. Because we need honest politicians (not the deceitfully corrupt)

But, how does anyone know what I am writing is the truth?

The fossil fuel industry's own words prove it!

"Internal Fossil Fuel Industry Memos Reveal Decades of Corporate Disinformation - For nearly three decades, many of the world's largest fossil fuel companies have knowingly worked to deceive the public about the realities and risks of climate change". ucsusa.org/resources/climate-d

These are trillion-dollar corporations - how many lies are they spreading? We know they have no problems polluting local people in Africa with their industrial methods.

"Africans once again, we find ourselves fending off advances from imperial forces; only this time the charge is led by carbon majors Shell, British Petroleum (BP), Total Energies, and Exxon Mobil." globalcitizen.org/en/content/f
