One side of this is that it isn’t intuitive at all, most people I’ve met tend to think in linear growth terms, and getting them to shift takes work. The other side is that people seem to think that exponential growth can really occur in nature. Those curves are really S-curves because access to resources is not unbounded. If I could change education this would be one of the first things to do!
