@protonmail - well I said I'd report back after a month so here I am and I have to say that I've not been experiencing the connectivity issues with #protonvpn that I had in the past.

I still get blocked when accessing certain sites but #expressvpn doesn't overcome this (blame cloudflare for that I think)

I've been running it for a month on my phone and all good there so maybe I can drop #expressvpn when it renews.

Has anyone ever tried the #VPN solution that comes with #GoogleOne #CloudStorage plan?
I mean sure, it's not as good as some well established brands like #NordVPN, #ExpressVPN, #SurfShark etc. but then again, 2€/month is literally barely anything and it also comes with the increased storage capacity.

What #Google 's VPN lacks is location spoofing but I'm not trying to circumvent any geoblocks or things like that. Mainly interested in a basic extra layer in terms of #security on public #wifi s

Hmm - I don't think #bitwarden is going to work out for me, it doesn't play well with #expressvpn (which I've replaced #protonvpn with and am very happy with).

I know that vpns are somewhat frowned upon by consumer sites because the hinder tracking (which is why we use them) but why another #privacy service seems to be unwilling to support VPN users is beyond me.

As my #expressvpn trial continues I'm still impressed with it's stability and have not experienced the same issues that I had with #protonvpn - where it would appear to be connected but zero traffic could get in or out of the secure tunnel.

While ExpressVPN doesn't seem to be as badly effected by sites blocking access via VPN IP addressed it looks like TUI are still able to prevent me getting checking my booking without dropping my connection.

Getting on well with #expressvpn so far, only a few days in but already more stable than #protonvpn.

It's not all sunshine and roses though, expressvpn certainly pushes it's password manager (Keys) and their browser extrnsions with no way of supressing these notifications, banners or emails.

Still on trial, but early indications are looking good.

@onthefencedev Been pretty happy with #expressvpn. I occasionally run into the issue of "I forgot I left it on" which sometimes triggers re-authentication challenges by going "hey, an IP from Japan is trying to log in, just checking if it's really you."

Think I'm going to stop using #protonvpn - while I'm still happy with their email offering I'm fed up with the VPN silently grinding to halt.

It's not until I try to open a webpage that I realise I essentially have no connection and turning off the tunnel results in all my emails and other notifications streaming in - sometimes hours worth of them.

I've reported the issue numerous times and the best they can say is 'try another server'.

Think I'll give #expressvpn a go for a couple of months

@h2lift that's a good approach but Proton recently upgraded my account and I'm now on a business plan which includes their VPN service as part of the bundle. As a Cornishman I'm not a fan of paying for things I don't use so I need to investigate downgrading my account so that I'm not throwing cash at something I'm not using.
May opt for the #ExpressVPN monthly plan though so I can trial it without paying too much initially - also means I'd be able to undertake some direct comparison.
