Here's a very simple guideline for #Beijing's puppet in #HongKong known as #CarrieLam:
If your proposed #extraditionlaw is not scrapped and if you do not step down as a result of your failed handling of the protests, these #protests won't go away. Of course you can also call in the #PLA to use military violence against your own people and become the #LadyMacbeth of the #FarEast. Have it your way.

FFS #CarrieLam is a bad joke: Goes silent for two full weeks, then goes public with an outright threat against the protestors. Scrap that bloody #extraditionlaw NOW and start to listen to the citizens of #HongKong you are supposed to govern and not just to Beijing, you miserable puppet of #China! #freedoms

Reading reports about 2 million citizens of #HongKong taking to the street to protest the unacceptable #extraditionlaw and Beijing's puppet #CarrieLam. 2 million people in a city of 7.5 million. This is so impressive. This is a hell of a loud cry for #freedom and #civicrights. #China should wake up and hear that cry. And by the way, #Zhongnanhai: #Taiwan is watching your dishonest antics.

For now, the pro-#democracy camp in #HongKong has prevented the #extraditionlaw from being pushed through the puppet legislative. But there's no doubt that #Beijing and #CarrieLam will try again to erode the #autonomy, #liberties and #civicrights that were guaranteed to stand in the SAR until 2047. #FarEast

First reports coming in of voices within #HongKong's pro-#China camp suggesting to postpone or ammend the #extraditionlaw seen the public unrest and large-scale protests against it. Now let's hope #CarrieLam listens to those voices. #civicrights #liberties #mediafreedom

No debate on the highly controversial #extraditionlaw in the legislative council of #HongKong today: activists blocked the entrances and prevented the council that has a pro-#China majority from gathering. Good on the protestors for throwing a spanner in Beijing's wannabe-democracy. The stakes are high, this is about #civicrights, #liberties and #mediafreedom.

No: #CarrieLam does not care about 1 million of #HongKong's citizens taking to the streets to protest a draft #extraditionlaw and the lack of #RuleOfLaw, fair trails and an independent judiciary in #China. There would be an easy way for #CarrieLam to subtly change the #extraditionlaw: Exclude any extradition from #HongKong to states who have a bad record regarding an #independentjudiciary, the #RuleOfLaw and fair trials. This would rule #China out as a destination for extraditions for many years to come. #humanrights
