I've lived for my entire life in exurbs: small, super-suburban communities physically separated by distance from a nearby city. The town is its own legal entity but entirely dependent on the nearby city for everything. If I want to go to a theater, go shopping, play games at my local game store or even go to work I need to drive for about fifteen minutes just to get into the city. I hate exurbs.
