So I saw a beautiful #butterfly right before jumping in the car to pick up my daughter. It flew away before I could snap a picture but 10 minutes later I drew a picture of it to try and look it up once we got home.
Once we were home we quickly found it in a nearby tree and eventually even managed to get a picture... 🫣

Western Uusimaa police are seeking eyewitnesses as they investigate the use of force by security guards at the Iso Omena shopping centre in Espoo.

Police said that a person "became lifeless" after being taken into custody by mall security guards and died despite resuscitation efforts. The incident occurred around 5 pm on Saturday.

Eyewitnesses told the daily Ilta-Sanomat that the woman who had been removed from a clothing store against her will by guards. They said that although the woman was not behaving aggressively, she was pressed to the ground and handcuffed. Four guards were involved in the incident, one of whom lay on top of the woman. A fifth guard watched the situation.

Two passersby attempted to resuscitate the woman. They were later joined by rescue personnel. The efforts went on for 40-50 minutes but were unsuccessful, according to one eyewitness. The body was removed from the mall on a stretcher around 6 pm.

A criminal complaint has been filed, and police are investigating the incident as a case of manslaughter. According to their statement, there is reason to suspect several people of manslaughter.

Text version: Holodomor Survivor Tells His Story. Vasyl Tsyba - Holodomor survivor.

The book of remembrance of Holodomor victims.

Vasyl: "I understand that it was a genocide. Why genocide? Because those years the harvest was good. There were potatoes, wheat"

Text: Vasyl witnessed the Stalin-orchestrated Famine of 1932-1933. Tsyba's family lived in a village in Chernihiv Oblast. Tsyba met with students in the Holodomor museum in Kyiv to talk about that time.

Vasyl: "we had to eat acorns. In Autumn, we gathered mushrooms. But the winter of 1932-1933 was the toughest time. There were a lot of pigeons. To survive, we ate the pigeons, especially Grandpa. But it was an artificial Famine. Why? Because to make the Ukrainian farmers join the collective farms they had to starve them. If they caught adults sneaking wheat, they put them in jail and us children they would beat with a whip."

Text: Soviet authorities collected all the food produced by the farmers. Those who didn't have enough faced penalties.

Vasyl: "They would take away property and animals. If you didn't meet the quota, they would take away your home. They kicked our family out of our home in the winter."

Schoolchild: "was it hard for you to survive?" The question is repeated by the teacher. "He ate his dog and he didn't even realize that"

Vasyl: "The dog had gone missing and we asked Grandpa, where is the dog? He said wolves came to the village and ate it"

Text: Tsyba's family managed to move to another village. That village was part of a collective farm so authorities were not so strict. Tsyba's uncle was sent to a prison in the Far East of Russia for opposing collectivization but he survived like the rest of the family.

The Holodomor took the lives of over 4.5 million people.

Vasyl: "My life is tough. When I recall these events, I cry."
