Witnessed my first #Ford #Lightning #F150 today in Helsinki. So the first #EV pick-up viewed in Finland was not a #Cybertruck (launched sooner), but its direct competitor.

The one piece of real #Cybertruck info that was slipped through at the #Tesla investor call seems to be confirmation that the final version will be shorter than 19 feet (5.79 metres). How much shorter? Wasn’t mentioned, but probably not much. That will be about 9–10cm shorter than original specs and clearly shorter than an #F150 #Lightning #EV. While not exactly a short vehicle (even an #eJumpy van is 50cm shorter), it’s still somewhat of a positive development from a European perspective.

Spent a few hours at the @AustinAutoShow. Missed Having @Honda and @gm present, but @toyota, @Stellantis , et al were glad of the sales leads I'm sure.

Big thoughts:
- #Tundra remains really far behind the #F150. Interiors aren't comparable at all.
- Nobody cares about the #GrandHighlander. Big Sienna-shaped blob still.
- Camry still shockingly good
- RAV4: Same
- Kia eating everyone's lunch. Amazing design, tech, interiors.
- Stellantis....really going on fumes.

#SUVs sind mittlerweile so verbreitet, dass gefühlt jeder dritte PKW ein SUV ist. Und für die Leute, die sich SUVs gekauft haben weil sie sich besser/sicherer/potenter gefühlt haben, wenn sie über die anderen Fahrzeuge im Verkehr drüber schauen können, ist so ein Pickup-Truck doch die ideale Wahl. Thought I would check prices on the #ford #f150 #lightning truck in Canada.

#ev prices still too high for many.

So a buddy of mine rigged his house so it could be powered by the battery in his #Ford #F150 #Lightning #EV truck. The truck’s 131 kWh battery capacity can power his house for about 2 days. That’s pretty damn amazing.

I don’t really want to buy a truck. But this is just so damn useful. I want to see other EVs gain this ability, even as a paid option.
