How would one prepare for #FAANG tech interviews in 2023? Or does it matter which letter of the 5 one is applying to?

Especially curious when targetting IC track (where the tech side is likely more prominent)

Right now, I can launch my own personal Mastodon server, connect to any other server, chat with anyone...many people do this now.

I can also host my own email server, but I can't send email to anyone with a gmail account, nor any other mainstream address...not because I'm blocking them, but because Google changed the rules of how email works, and forced everyone else to use their rules and block me, automatically.

That's the future of a #Fediverse with the #FAANG corps included.

I said this before, but clearly, it needs a stand-alone toot.

I agree about mastodon-dot-social, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to letting the #FAANG into the #Fediverse. It frankly blows my mind that this is even a debate. I'd sooner re-federate with the fucking nazis.

Don’t know how I missed the transition from #FAANG to #MANGA when #Facebook renamed to #Meta.

I just had a 45-minute chat with an #aws support employee just to get my account deleted without having to gave out my credit card information. In the end I just straight up copy-pasted #gdpr article 17 to the support channel and said that I wouldn't stop spamming before they deleted my account, and that the person would have to forward the support ticket to someone else if they couldn't do anything. There they magically requested account deletion and told me how to confirm it. #faang

I know i keep moaning about #FAANG or #MAMAA being these amazing 10xengineer-employing wonder companies at the cutting edge of #AI, but seriously, how easy would it be to pick these obvious #moneylaundering issues up?...#amazon

Isn't the entire #Meta and #Facebook thing to now start a "decentralized" platform to just stay relevant?

They don't think anything through. #Instagram copies any new platform. Then #Facebook has similar features a few months later.

They can't decide on a concrete idea or method of communicating for any platform. #Facebook, #Whatsapp, and #Instagram have stories because they can't research actual public opinion or what their users want. So they just blindly shoot into the barrel and hope to hit some fish.

They don't realize or thought about how to monetize or profit from the #fediverse because they just want to be "first". Because the public doesn't acknowledge anything until #FAANG does something.

Crypto won't be legit until banks use it. Metaverse won't be legit until #Meta does it. #AR won't be real until #Apple does it etc.
