I really want to get the leveling feet for the #sawmill welded up, but it's way too unpleasant outside. :blobsad:

After hours of filing, the inner tube was still binding. When I took a gander down the inside of the outer tube to see what was happening, something didn't look right.
Yeah. The outer tube is about 1/32" (or more) out of straight. The same tube looks bent compared to multiple other known-straight tubes. This explains a lot.

Since I do the #welding and #fabrication outside, I'm paranoid about the critters getting into the dust and shavings. I surely am glad I set up some cardboard to catch the chop saw dust (?). This thing can throw!

I went ahead and bought a chop saw. I'll find a place to put it later. :ablobgrin:

Things I've learned:
* I cannot cut a 45 to save my life
* I can't count (I'm very short of steel)
If I had a place to put it, is already have a chop saw.

I just spent the last 5 or so hours #welding and #fabricating. Reattaching shank tips, rebuilding the weight rack for the box blade, disassembling a steel lawn chair to build a soil sifter...I'm done for the day.
