There are no level surfaces at my house. Like none. I live on the side of a mountain. If you want something to be level, you have to make it...so I did.

This is a sawhorse I made. The feet (not installed here) are 1" square tube that is secured with a bolt inside of 1.25" sq tube. That should give up to 24" of adjustment at each foot. The top telescopes with the same technique.

Maybe a wooden top so I don't hit it with a circular saw? Some plate, some screws, and a 4x4?

After the rear 4-link conversion, my XJ needs a rear sway bar. I'm using a WJ rear sway bar, but installing it in the front of the axle (vs. the WJ's rear-axle position). I've made some custom brackets for the axle-side and tacked those in. The body-side is complicated though - XJ's don't have a frame and the body is largely just sheet metal. You can see in the photos that there's a fold in the metal where I want the mount to go. So I gotta make a box. To be continued. #jeep #jeepxj #fabrication

After hours of filing, the inner tube was still binding. When I took a gander down the inside of the outer tube to see what was happening, something didn't look right.

Yeah. The outer tube is about 1/32" (or more) out of straight. The same tube looks bent compared to multiple other known-straight tubes. This explains a lot.

This worked surprisingly well heh. Workmate set me up, because no matter how much I remind him, he makes assumptions and the part he made from his drawings doesn't fit in the real world. Again.
So I used tig filler wire to add to the gap while I mig welded it up.
I should have just used the tig (which I am better with) but this amused me.
