I do not understand how I keep finding More Yarn. I've gone through about half the boxes, and managed to empty one box just by taking out a bunch of #fabric and #yarn. of course, I don't have anywhere for the fabric to go, which is why it was in one of those boxes. I have three very large Rubbermaid-style tote boxes stuffed with fabric, and my #100DaysOfWardrobe is just as much about busting my #FabricStash as it is about my #YarnStash

The red/black check (wool/cashmere jacket/light-coat weight) is beautiful as expected, but the puppytooth (Italian wool) is… divine.

If you think wool #fabric is always scritchy, this is one of the ones to prove you wrong: it’s smooth to the point of silky, cool, lightweight, drapey but stable to work with, the colours muted but crisp… this is my #autisticJoy!

The reveal: this is the kind of fabric they used to dress the British Army in, and they’d fight 3 years in the trenches, go over it with a clothes brush, and it’d look good as new. Tough AF twill-weave.

‘Hunter green’ is, basically, the colour of my eyes. Slightly mercurial blue-green: if you look closely it’s got a bit of red running through it, which drains the colour right out under certain lights.

I’ve been feeling very sorry for myself, so I ordered 4 m of wool blend fabric in ‘hunter green’. The photos on that website are invariably crap. I can’t even guess what colour they might mean by hunter green. It could be horrible. I don’t have space to store another 4 m of fabric. I sure AF don’t need it.
