Not that anyone needs more fuel for the fire but they are no longer moving accounts into memorial or taking them down after loved ones die.

The option to request remains but they are not honoring them.

There is no way to communicate with Facebook about this or to have account returned to her. She has been offered it returned by the hacker for a ransom.

If you still use that hell site turn on 2 factor authentication.

A friend has had her Facebook account hacked. This is a fairly common occurrence apparently, but the hacker quickly change the SMS contact info and email address, multiple times.

The standard /hacked/ page only works if you can provide a recent password and her recent password is not recognized as recent…

There is no apparent way to resolve this or communicate with Facebook about it.

Anyone have helpful suggestions?
