I wonder what would be the best way to make quality copies of the artifacts which are returned to their owners, to still be able to display them in the returning countries' museums, or make them available for study.
Holograms do not really show texture, and copies of bronzes or even woodwork are too expensive to make.

This is a so-called „facsimile“ of a column of the #ancient #Egyptian magical #papyrus I am currently translating.
A #facsimile is a hand copy of an original item, like a manuscript, a map or a papyrus.
Facsimiles allow to work with the "original" text when a photo is not available, and they make it easier to compare texts or sections of the text.

#Marvel continues with the #facsimile #comics reprints. The theme here seems to be first appearances, but the Panther overlaps with a movie as well IIRC.
