I’ll be volunteering at Slane Castle Viking Festival this year on May 20/21, with all my Viking warriors and shield maidens.

The event spectacular will see Viking Long Ships on the River - sailors from the Vikings TV Series who will tell you about their adventures. See Viking reenactors from all over Ireland and Europe battle, or buy a variety of unique items at the Authentic Viking Market.

What I'm guessing is some fossilized plant material between some layers of shale. Looks very like the vascular system found on modern plant leaves. County Clare, Ireland.

Large pieces of fossilized Crinoid stems. Crinoids are relatives of Starfish and Sea urchins that live on the ocean floors. When they die their bodies often break up into segments like the ones we see fossilized here. County Clare, Ireland.
