The #CA Civil Rights Department (formerly DFEH) published last year a proposal for modifications to their Employment Regulations re: Automated-Decision Systems (#ads)The draft makes it unlawful to use standards, tests, #ads , or other employment selection criteria that unfairly screens out applicants from #protected groups.

Formal rule-making has not started yet but we may see the CRD move forward the modifications during 2023.

3. What is the purpose of this? I can see tons of way to use this kind of application to make bad things, without adaptation (well, it is the case of most AI applications anyway) including censorship.
I'd have been glad to here from biases induced by the observed data also. #ArtificialIntelligence #FairAI
