This winter, I'm directing "Native Gardens" by Mexican-American playwright Karen Zacarías. It's a comedy about two couples (one older and white, the other younger and Latin) and how they turn almost to war when they have an urgent disagreement over the property line. They are divided by race, age, politics, and (most of all) philosophy of gardening.
