@superheroine The task you've set for yourself is an excellent one, for no student of the Gospel at the moment could read a timelier book. In terms of translation, I'd advise you to read that of the best Isaiah scholar in the world: Avraham Gileadi. His commentary pulls no punches and reveals exactly what's on the horizon.

Hearing the familiar stories of #ReligiousTrauma and #Deconstruction from other faith traditions like, #Mormon, #JehovahsWitnesses, #Baptist, etc., gives me a better understanding of my own experience growing up as a Seventh-day #Adventist.

I’m a little shocked at how upset I am over Elder Hamilton’s devotional at BYU this week. I’m currently a PIMO serving in a relatively significant stake calling and it just seems like every week there is something new that shows that only orthodoxy and dogma are palatable for church leaders.

I keep trying to fix my broken shelf, maybe make it a bit sturdier or bigger to hold more stuff, but it’s just too damn hard.
