If the K/D ratios of 1:5 and 1:9 are somewhat correct, #Russia has created it's own version of #Verdun at #Bakhmut.
General #Falkenhayn thought he could bleed out the French at Verdun and therefore send it's troops into the meat grinder. Russia has done the same in Bakhmut, believing they could outmatch the western support. As it turns out, #Ukraine has only commited enough forces to hold and attrit the RAF and to build up assault forces, which makes Bakhmut a colossal mistake for the RAF.
