I picked up The Fall of Númenor. On the one hand, it doesn’t really have any new material. But it collects nearly all the writing about Tolkien’s Second Age into a chronological order, interspersed with beautiful illustrations by Alan Lee.
So it probably isn’t for everyone, but I’ve been looking forward to it.
