I've been watching businesses do this all my life...try to save money by doing things that cost them even more money. Fixing old equipment, doing things themselves that others are better suited for, wasting time and money they'd be better off spending on other things. Even more #FalseEconomy.

Other truck...they're still getting estimates on that, considering if we can fix it ourselves. Of course we can fix it ourselves...we have plenty of capable welders and metal workers and we have the tools. Nobody seems to be considering that he hauls even more than I do though, and the estimates have been for a week of labour in places set up for, and experience in, that particular job. I heard yesterday that the parts for my work truck had finally been ordered. Also saw the courier bill for hauling what what I normally would have hauled the first two days of this week. Price is about the same. #falseeconomy
