Another gardening 'toot':

Severely damaged by the -23C/-7F temperatures around Christmas were two variegated Japanese false holly (Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Goshiki') bushes. Only the lowest branches of the relatively young plants retained signs of life. I have pruned the bushes back and am hoping for new growth, though I haven't seen any yet.
