Hello from the Hospital! I finally decided to find a Dr to take a look at my injured finger and hopefully get a referral to a specialist. My family Dr is not taking appointments and we don't have a reliable clinic so the ER it is. It's busy, I'll probably be here for a few hours if I am lucky. It's not exactly life threatening but I'd like to get back full use of my right hand before this becomes permanent.

My #FamilyDoctor, who I essentially inherited when my old doctor left the practice, is effectively holding my HRT to ransom and not refilling it. I’m 43.

She wants me to stop it because she says I’m at an increased risk of cancer and every woman in my immediate family has either died of or is in remission from cancer. (my dad died of cancer, too).

I have been genetically tested: no increased risk. I get annual mammograms and MRIs. I’ve had one biopsy. All clear.
