A very interesting cartoon and well worth seeing. However #Dollfuss himself needs a bit more context. True he was #antiNazi but he was also highly dependent on #Mussolini. Earlier that year he had used armed force to close down the socialist administration of #RedVienna. One of the first public services to be closed down there was #familyplanning. Commentators at the time characterised his regime and that of his successor #Schuschnigg as "clerical fascist".
