Her Heimweh was only eased, I conclude, by cooking as she had back home, and her preference for caraway seed was then passed down mother-to-daughter, ultimately to me! #Genealogy #familyrecipes

It wasn't until I had store-bought pecan pie that I finally realized why so many people have a strong dislike for it: it's far too sweet! My family’s go-to recipe has way less sugar, some sour cream to tone it down further, and I've made it for years with no complaints.
