I'm immensely proud of my wife, @likeawednesday.

She worked tirelessly on her #DataScience #MastersDegree at #BellevueUniversity for two grueling years during the pandemic, and now all of her hard work has finally paid off. She just accepted a new #DataAnalyst position with #StrategicAmerica, starting later this month!

Erin will be working primarily with #Salesforce #Tableau, whereas I'm a dyed-in-the-wool #Microsoft #PowerBI #fanboi, so we'll soon have a bitter #rivalry in our household. #ThereWillBeBlood! 🤬😏

Kidding aside, every tool has its own #superpowers and #shortcomings, and I know that Power BI can do certain things that Tableau can't do, but I'm also sure that the reverse is true as well.

Funny how things work. I was very excited to watch the launch of Starship on its first orbital flight and was kind of disappointed when they scrubbed for today. (Better scrub than RUD, as I like to say.)

By dint of what am I disappointed? I had nothing to do with the creation of the rocket, it's built by a company run by a narcissist, and there's every chance it will come to nothing... yet there I am, glued to Youtube....

I thought #Microsoft still used "embrace, extend, extinguish" as a market strategy. With #Linux that's like an anaconda trying to eat a whale. I've used #Linux since the early 2000's. I was a #fanboi for several years, then drifted into being just a user. Over the last few years I've used #Chromebooks and more recently with the #Linux containers.
