Moviegoers beware!

We wanted to see the new Indiana Jones film yesterday, and so we did, no thanks to Moviefone. (https://www.moviefone.com)

The Moviefone website was telling me that the afternoon show was at 3:15 PM, so I would have gone over to the theater (literally across the street from where I live) at around 3 PM.

My wife happened to visit the Fandango site (https://www.fandango.com) instead - which is directly connected with the theater, and they said the show was at 2:30 PM.

It wasn't a case of there being two screens at the same theater, both showing the same film at different times - Moviefone just had it wrong, and would have caused us to miss the movie.

It was easy for us just to walk across the street to check, and buy tickets for the show we wanted, but that's clearly not the case for everyone, and had we depended only on my initial search we would have been S.O.L.

This is not to say that Fandango couldn't have it wrong for other movies/venues/times, so just be REALLY careful when using services like these to plan an entertainment event.

I checked #Fandango this morning, looked at the listings and saw the film at my local theater for tonight, so I bought tickets. But literally nobody else bought any tickets for the theater I'm going to--no one! And for the following showing I ordered tickets for, #SpiderManAcrosstheSpiderverse, only two seats were taken.

These theaters having basically empty showings is a bit of a problem. I was hoping to be able to maybe see #SpidermanAcrosstheSpiderverse at least during a showing that had other people in it, to hear "oohs" and "ahs" and whatnot at the various shocking moments.

#AMC ticketing is completely down, including on partner sites like #Fandango 😒

Is Taylor Swift in #AcrossTheSpiderVerse? Is she interested in suing AMC? 😜
