Methinks that #FFXIV #Fanfest needs a new venue next year. They had less than 1.5k more attendees than Anthrocon this year, and while we had a little bit of linecon, almost everything ran smoothly aside from the venue fucking up the space for the fursuit photo/parade lineup.

I am not sure what to say about the new #ffxiv #fanfest trailer about pirates of the carribean, black flag and some kind of pocahontas "new world" content.

I actually thought it will be more focused on other worlds - like the world of darkness. But we will see.

Probably not the first person to point it out, but including the #FFXIV #Fanfest hint in the form of YoshiP's shirt, the first new DPS will use a sai most likely! I think it's too long for a jitte, but there's only a single one shown. The second image is adjusted levels from the screenshot in the trailer!

I feel dumb right now. I missed the part of the Lodestone schedule that listed the timezone and spent the past half hour trying to figure out why the #FFXIV #FanFest wasn't starting yet. For some reason I had it in my head that Las Vegas was in Mountain time. :huh:

Hey, so, if anyone around here is going to the #FFXIV #Fanfest, please pack and use sunscreen, even if you plan to spend as much time as you can indoors.

It's a high desert region, and if you're not used to that, you will burn and you will dehydrate. The region only just had a major heatwave break.

Watch yourselves and others for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and for your own sake, pack a couple bottles of water. You're gonna need them, it's dry as well as hot.
