I just finished reading thru the newly reprinted #dragonAge rpg hardback last night. I realize #DiabloIV would make a great campaign setting for #greenronin #FantasyAge #ttrpg

I am teaching a Greek Mythology class to 12-14yos this week, and one of the things we're discussing is where we see it in modern media, so I took my Monster Manual and Mythic Odysseys of Theros #DnD books to share. Tomorrow I'll take Trojan War for #FantasyAGE from @greenroninpub as well, since I forgot it and one student showed interest in that topic specifically. Two students skimmed through the D&D books on their free time, and a few asked if we could actually play.

@chaosfae I stopped dnd with 2e. Still into adjacent games though…I really like the #WithoutNumber system and am working on adaptations of both #DragonKingsProject and #B5 to it. I also like #TDE. I was really ready to jump into #FantasyAGE AND #Titansgrave until the setting got killed. Now I’m looking into #WorldofLazarus and #ModernAGE.

It is a little disheartening, as I got my copies of Fantasy Age 2e and Dragonbane in the mail in the last week. I was eager to try those out. I really want to run a long-term #FantasyAGE game. I may need to look for players for that.

Gawd, I really don't want to look for a new gaming group in #LNK. Trying to find a group that will actually take a new player (even a GM) is like pulling team. The local gaming scene feels so insular.

This week our characters are wandering around the Big City, likely gawking at sights and spending their hard-earned coins.

Otterdottar is likely to cool off in a fountain. I sure hope it's not illegal for her to do so.

She's also on the lookout for fresh oysters, which she knows she'll have to buy, but having been offered cooked ones last week, she's on a mission.

@Dionysus I have several years' of experience running #FantasyAGE 1e. It is my go-to system for running games in my home-brew setting. Combat encounter balancing is a challenge, for sure. Statblock threat determination is a lot less granular than 5e's Challenge Rating, which means something you *think* is right might end up wiping the floor with your party. However, it gets easier with practice and familiarity with the Defense/Armor relationship.

Can't wait for my 2e book to arrive, too!

I think I want to run my first #FantasyAGE "campaign" using Fantasy Age 2e. (Hopefully my book shows up this week.) Anyone else have experience with it? Any tips on balancing combat encounters? Main differences between it and #DnD5e in regards to adventure planning, etc.?
