I'm letting you guys decide. I used to be a fan of the Far Cry series, but not so much anymore. I've just kind of seen/done it all. The worlds are gorgeous, but the gameplay is... well, Ubisoft. Should I still get #FarCry6 on sale?

I found it surprising that #FarCry6 is the worst rated of all the Far Cry games on Metacritic. Guess I shall play #FarCry3 soon (which I own already) and compare. I could not get into the better rated #FarCry5 though and it would not be the first time I just had a different opinion than the average.

I absolutely love what Ubisoft did with this game. Oh, and I watched the entire 60 minutes of end credits. What the fuck. I estimated some of the team sizes and there were more people working on #FarCry6 than on GTA V (on which there worked approx. 1000 people). Around 300-400 programmers alone, probably even more artists and designers, hundreds of management staff and also actors, voice actors, stunt performers, musicians...

I also love how #FarCry6 changes throughout the game and even after the finale. It is so satisfying and at times even heart-warming how the guerilla takes over parts of the world. Larger and smaller points of interest become blue, more guerillas come to help you when you fight etc. I only thought it was odd that nothing was ever captured back by the enemies - turns out, that is the endgame and after the story, that happens, too!

After 68 hours, I finished the last story mission of Far Cry 6. Wow, what a finale! And wow, what a game! I absolutely did not expect that. I knew Far Cry as a series being praised for fun gameplay (shooting, basically, I thought) and being able to destroy a lot. Both is 100% true but the story was really good - and I mean both content and how it was told. #FarCry6 #storytelling

Also, I just like driving tanks. :D

and gone are another three hours in #FarCry6 not playing a single main story mission. I could spend days just cruising around with all those various vehicles. Also, I can't get over how good this game actually looks. You can stand on a tower and snipe some soldiers but you can also stand on a tower and stare at the scenery, the sun going down over the sea, a city lighting up in the distance...

Okay so I will probably finish #FarCry6 soon and I also have an exam soon. I should time those to line up so that I can dive back into #FinalFantasyXIII right after both.

On another note, I tried my first 1000+ notes song on #BeatSaber today. 😂 Had a blast, did not score well though of course. This game is not getting old anytime soon. Will probably make a map myself. What song should I do?

And then #FarCry6. How amazing is that game? I had a few bugs initially and was kinda bummed but they seem to be gone and wow is that game satisfying. I can identify so well with the protagonists and I just can't get enough of blowing up bad regime shit. And the story is really, really good. It has this overly evil Far Cry villain and the brutality but with so many twists, great plot elements and different characters that it's really not the simple "save the world" scenario.
