As #MaxArmstrong concluded his career in #FarmBroadcasting last month, he took time to emphasize the continued role that #AMRadio plays in #agriculture and across the nation. I was immensely honored this morning to have #FarmBroadcasting icon Max Armstrong on air this morning in #Topeka. We reflected on his decades on-air in Chicago as well as in syndication, as well as the continued importance of #AMRadio in the #agriculture industry. Max recently retired after close to a half-century behind the mic.

Earlier this week, a fellow farm broadcaster appeared on NewsNation to make the case for keeping AM and FM radio in the dashboard. Outlets on both bands are critical components of their local community, providing timely updates on weather, traffic, and current events. Removing them from the dash takes away a tried-and-true outlet for information in an emergency, especially if cell networks go down.
