#OTD in 2007: Alphonse #Persico and John #DeRoss were convicted of conspiring in the 1999 #Brooklyn murder of #ColomboCrimeFamily underboss William "Wild Bill" #Cutolo (in photo).
Cutolo's remains were not discovered until October 2008, about nine months after the guilty verdicts were returned. (The body was found through an FBI-supervised excavation at a #FarmingdaleNY industrial site.) Persico and DeRoss were sentenced in February 2009 to life in prison.
