@SallyStrange No matter what, I do think it inspired alot going forward. I can see touches of it in the reboot #DoctorWho. It -helped- bring in more TV with arching storylines. And I think TV felt a bit ~freer~ to get weird.

It's name is not on everyone's lips, and it is a shame. But, I think #Farscape did have an effect on the people who make TV, make stories. James Gunn has said it was an inspiration. So the Uncharted Territories are in our culture. Just more in a background sence, I think

Once again, 2 me showing an innocent postal worker, a heroic teacher, and a nerdy kid getting killed in service of a pointless exercise in playing with the audience’s hope of figuring something out when u know you’re not going to reveal anything is just a #dickmove. SO opposite 2 #allstartrek or #Farscape or #Supernatural or #Kolchack, frankly. Even #Stargate SG-1 is better than #XFiles, IMO. Wretched show 😒

On that note, maybe I should try and get the 1 Day, 8 Hours and 58 Minutes of #Farscape I (apparently) have left to watch... I'm sure I must be getting close to the Dual-Crichton era..? I thought that was most of S3 and a little into S4, right?

Would you happen to know if there are different types of sleeves for t-shirts and what they might be named?

I read an article years ago, and a comment by the costume designer on #Farscape has stuck with me but I cannot remember the details.

Apparently there is another way to attach the sleeves that stops t-shirts from having those 'wings' that flap about, the sleeve fits tighter to the shoulder.

Can't remember what it's called 🤓

Random thought, the series #Farscape was a long term #TTRPG campaign in the form of Science Fiction tv show.

Characters leave and new characters join the crew. Much like players leaving and joining a campaign or player changing characters during a campaign.

#farscape gives me feelings and thoughts. Including meta thoughts like how you keep a revolving cast interesting. Scorpius is a bit of a crutch but always delightful.

Edit: Alright, a whole village (of course, the stereotypes must persist) of varying skin tones and ethnicities.

Edit 2: It's no #WakandaForever, but in their misappropriation, they at least make an attempt to display a non-Eurocentric culture.

I've been watching #Farscape and it reminds me of the clichéd, repetitive storylines of #StargateSG1.

white male "hero". All types of aliens, zero are Black(ish) or Asian(ish), or Aboriginal(ish), or anything other than caucasian(ish) (other than the #Muppets), even when completely covered in #makeup and #prosthetics.

And that intro is the worst of any #show I've ever watched, and I used to watch absolute garbage in the 60's and 70's.

It's supposed to get better in later seasons 🤞🏿

Or: One of the reasons why Farscape became a lot more it or fun once he appeared at the end of S1. Before it FS was casually watched, with Scorpius it was a must. Instant attention caught once he walked in the picture.
