Finished #reading my eighth novel this year and I’m eager to start the next one.

I’m really eager to return to Robin Hobb’s universe with the Farseer trilogy. This time I’m reading the illustrated version with illustrations by Magali Villeneuve.

@bookstodon Fitz also just suffers so much in this book and seems to only grow more bitter because of it rather than growing as a character. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially since there are more Fitz books coming, but it was still hard to read. #FarseerTrilogy

@bookstodon Assassin's Quest on the other hand was really excellently written, but still seemed like a step down from the first two books in the trilogy. The actual writing might be the best of the three, but the book's paced very slowly until the end where all the dangling plot threads are hastily tied up in a chapter or two. Still excellent, but felt like a bit of lost potential. #FarseerTrilogy

I've been reading more than usual recently and finished the third book of two different trilogies. The #Scholomance series by Naomi Novick and the #FarseerTrilogy by Robin Hobb. Both were very enjoyable on the whole, but didn't quite stick the landing. @bookstodon
