Me reading all these #Phish posts is like a holiday dinner at my house when everyone is speaking Farsi. I have no fucking idea what anyone is saying.

I need to get my ass to a #Phish show and probably learn some more #Farsi.

I've got a weird #TeXLaTeΧ question and I'm curious if #AskFedi can help: I want to typeset #Persian text, but when I try to load #farsi with #babel, I get an "There is no ini file for the requested language" message. The babel GitHub repo has babel-fa.ini, and it's in texlive-latex-base, but I can't find a way to install it into my minimal system with tlmgr, since CTAN has no babel-farsi or babel-persian package. Any ideas?

Question for #Persian (#Farsi) speakers. The mi'rāj (ٱلْمِعْرَاج, al-mi'rāj) is a creature of Persian myth which resembles a one-horned rabbit. Despite being a Persian myth, most sources seem to have been written in Arabic, and al-mi'rāj is the Arabic name, but does the creature have a different name in the Persian language? #Iran #Mythology #Linguistics
