Week 12:
Weight: -0.5kg (-7.1kg total)
That's it! I've done it. I've now lost one stone on this eating programme.
It's really working for me on many levels too.
Onwards and, well, downwards - for the weight.
Well, this is interesting.
I've been doing this #Fastic programme for almost 3 months and the last two days I've been getting hungry before my fast breaks.
What could that mean? My body is slowly fixing itself and the broken "you're hungry" messages I get?!
🤞🏻
Week 11:
Weight: -0.3kg (-6.6kg total)
So close to having lost a stone but am not disheartened. I feel like my brain has been re-wired so that I can sit and watch TV without wanting to eat, which was always my problem.
I'm still eating bread, cheese etc. and the weight comes off. Also, I'm almost on one meal a day because the 3l water makes you full.
I go on holiday in 2 weeks. I wonder how that will work. 🤔
Week 10:
Weight: -0.7kg (-6.3kg total)
Well, it' still coming off. And I'm not being particular about what I eat.
Had some cheese, bread etc. and still losing.
I think the oat milk in my coffees might have been stunting to loss so I cut it out.
The net effect is that I need to be less stingy with my coffee as it now tastes weak 😂
Week 9:
Weight: -0.0kg (-5.6kg total)
It had to happen. A week without loss.
But. I'll take that over a gain every time.
I feel a little backed up* so that might be a contributing factor.
*sorry, but it's true.
Week 8:
Weight: -0.8kg (-5.6kg total)
Well, it's still coming off...
Interestingly I think my stomach has shrunk too. I'm literally not capable of eating as much any more. I often find that when I'm supposed to have my evening meal that I'm still full from lunch.
I'll soon be down to one meal a day.
Week 7:
Weight: -0.5kg (-4.8kg total)
It's pretty obvious that you can't maintain huge weight loss each week. And given how much I lost 10 years ago, it's important to keep it slow so I don't look ill.
This week saw me drinking only black coffee and water with cordial, just to see if the oat milk made a difference. Not sure if it did or not yet.
Keep it going!
Week 6:
Weight: -2.1kg (-4.3kg total)
Wow, after the disappointment last week it's now all clicked into place.
And the difference: I didn't buy any sweets/treats this week so there was very little snacking done.
It seems I was able to defeat the old "screw this noise" from last week and rise right above it.
Awesome feeling.
Week 5:
Weight: +0.2kg (-2.2kg total)
Yep, you read that right as well. 200g gained, somehow. I suspect it's because I was working longer hours so was just tired. And I didn't hit the 6K steps per day which would have helped.
Any gain is very upsetting and this is where it gets difficult. How to defeat the old "fuck it, I'll eat what I want and try again tomorrow".
The only downside to this #Fastic and #fasting thing is when you want an afternoon nap.
Cos you'll not be eating while sleeping, but when you wake it might be after when you normally fast.

Week 4:
Weight: -0.1kg (-2.4kg total)
Yep, you read that right. 100g lost this week. But, as we used to say at Slimming World: I know why.
The feeling of routine has continued this week, which is good.
It's also starting to feel like I've beaten that daily thought of "ooh, I just fancy a..."
100g is pretty disappointing. But: onwards.
Wish us luck.
My wife and I are about to set off on a 36km walk.
Braced and ready.
Update to follow...
Week 2:
Weight: -0.8kg (-1.3kg total)
Week two was easier than I anticipated.
It's amazing how quickly it becomes routine and your body gets used to things.
Again, not a huge loss, but it's another loss. Here's to more and hitting my target.

La política per a alguns és això, intoxica que fa fort. Tot mentides i manipulacions, i em pregunto, total per què? El poder. No la ciutadania, no, som titelles, només els interessa tornar a moure els fils del poder. #FÀSTIC
A quick #Fastic update:
It's made harder when you elect to start your fast, and then your wife offers you a bite of every Friday snack she has at her disposal.
And then your son comes home with a sweet treat for all.
Yeah, I'm ok thanks. Harrumph!
I'm approaching my second weigh-in after almost 2 weeks doing #Fastic
It has certainly been easier this week, as expected, but it was tough on the weekend to find that extra 1l of fluid.
Weight update tomorrow 👍🏻
Week 1:
Weight: -0.5kg
So, week one went very well.
Skipping breakfast was easy as I've always felt like I'm forcing myself to eat most mornings.
Not a great loss, but it's a loss nonetheless. Long may it continue.

I remain deeply offended by the suggestion that I’d eat an entire fruit tart without chewing & that it’d settle, facing the right way up, in my knee. This has never happened, and I’ve taken in a LOT of fruit tarts.
