@val @glightly The #FatLiberation (and other tags like #FatAcceptance and #FatActivism) tag is quieter here, but following that has helped me find a few folks here and there.
I don't have good recs for black feminism, unfortunately! That's something I'm on the lookout for as well.

I have no issue with using the word "fat" without meaning anything negative (because using euphemisms implies that being fat is such a bad thing that it's insulting to even acknowledge a simple fact about someone's body).
I think fat activists are right: it's just a freaking normal body shape, and we don't have to whisper about it.
BUT THEN...
@fruitcake Yeah, I feel like there is not al lot of fat activism on here. Or at least I haven’t found a whole lot of people who talk about it.
There are some though, so I follow several hashtags to try and not miss any posts about it: #FatAcceptance #FatLiberation #FatActivism #AntiDiet
I hope our community will still grow on here!

Awkward waiting room selfie featuring the only larger seat placed directly under the TV so that I guess fat people can feel even more the spectacle then usual.

Had a small look at the comments in the fat positive article on Yle News (Finland) today and we have some of the classics:
-We need to be allowed to bully fat people because we care about public health and public funds.
-Comparing fatness with things like smoking.
-Assigning health to body size in general.
-Dancing uncomfortably around the word FAT. Just say fat.
So I have a reading recommendation for the new year: https://www.aubreygordon.net/myths
Being an unapologetic fat person in this world is a radical act of resistance. You just have to exist. When you try to walk, eat, laugh or have any fun in public you’re an fat activist. Being fat in this world is fucking hard. And brave.
Dit is zo’n goede podcast + aflevering. Aubrey Gordon is yrfatfriend op twit en insta, ze heeft een nieuw boek geschreven. #FatActivism
I have wanted to crochet a Venus de Willendorf for so long and today I overcame my fear of amigurumi! I used a pattern off ravelry by melbangel. There were others but this one was satisfyingly fat. I placed the boobs too far apart and her butt is wonky but she is charming.
I need to stop crocheting because my hands are absolutely ruined. But I've already started a lemon coloured girl. 😅
My Plumpie characters used to be named after Venus figurines (and Niki de Saint Phalle's Nanas) but it was brought to my attention that the naming and concept was racist and colonialist. It totally bowled me over to read up on the entwined history of the archaeological discovery of paleolithic figures and the exploitation of Black Women (the most well known is probably Sarah Baartman, who was labeled "the Hottentot Venus" and degraded so awfully.) The proportions of Black Women's bodies were likened to those of the figurines and thus they were known as Venuses.
Many fat activists love these paleolithic sculptures (I am one of them!) but it's really important to know about the anti-Blackness surrounding their naming history. Go do some reading and keep this nugget of knowledge in the back of your mind when you see these sculptures.
One of the worst tricks diet culture ever pulled was boneless skinless chicken breasts.

A very important podcast episode... If you listen to the episode, you will know why I am anxious about sharing it.
There is so much anti-fat bigotry in our world right now, often deeply intertwined with issues of abelism, racism and hatred of poor people.
@curvily are you looking for #FatFashion or #FatActivism? Either way, I suggest following some hashtags.
I can't seem to find content about #fat #FatActivism yet, where would I have to look?
