@ASPRoadSafety are out there at the moment making sure drivers don't distract themselves with their phones when they're driving. It's very dangerous and just as illegal - they'll catch you if you take the risk! #Fatal5 #RoadSafety https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/news/2023/02/were-joining-nationwide-crackdown-on-people-who-use-mobile-phones-while-driving/

Not an appropriate speed to be travelling at, especially when a marked Police vehicle has been following you for a couple of miles on the #M5..!
Driver stopped and reported to court. #Fatal5 #RoadsPolicing #Speeding

Sadly this will be a reality for some of my colleagues this Christmas. NEVER DRINK & DRIVE it really is that simple. Even 1 drink can impair your judgement. Donβt be the reason a cop has to break the worst news ever to a family this Christmas. #NoneForTheRoad #Fatal5

Driving under the influence of alcohol is an unnecessary gamble.
It's harder for you to process information.
Your reaction times will be slower.
Your physical reactions will be delayed.
Get home safe this #Christmas and don't drink and drive.

Spotted an HGV driver using his phone whilst travelling through #Brighton at rush hour. Heβs already got 6 points on his driving licence so will now have to attend Court.
Consequences for him and his livelihood, but thankfully they werenβt much worse.

Is there a name for the "head bobbing" drivers do when they're trying to look at the mobile phone on their lap and then look up to see the road ahead? The "nodding donkey" maybe? #biketooter #Cycling #fatal5
@BicycleBen I go with accidents are unforeseen and unplanned for events. Most road incidents have a cause, #fatal5, poor road/vehicle design etc.
45mph outside a junior school? Take their licence off them and feed it to a goat.

RT @SurreyRoadCops
This morning one of our Casualty Reduction Officers changed his enforcement location outside Send Junior School (30mph limit) as we thought drivers had got too used to the same position.
28 offences detected in an hour with 45mph being the highest.
#Fatal5 - speeding
