Bought a lamp for my bike a few years ago. I used it once. Not sure why I didn't use it more. I guess I couldn't get my head around riding in the dark. I have used the lamp twice in the last week. Last night was so beautiful with the fresh snow and the snow still falling. Just another reason why I love winter riding. Winter riding is hard on bike components. This rust formed after a few weeks of the bike sitting unused (due to a thaw cycle), even though I wiped everything down with a dry cloth, applied chain lube, and re-wiped.
Next thaw cycle (get it?) I am going to de-grease the chain, apply wd-40, wipe down and then let it sit a day before wiping again and then applying chain lube.

The conditions at Nose Hill in Calgary are amazing for fatbiking right now. Great mix of packed trails, semi-packed trails and pure, fresh powder sections to float down. Don't know who had a better time: us or the dogs. 😅
Watching Mars pass behind the moon while we rode was an added bonus. Nose Hill is such a gem.
