Alice Cooper releases his first album as a solo artist - the concept album “Welcome to My Nightmare”

The songs describe a journey through the nightmares of a child named Steven.

This is Cooper’s brand, and he’s gotten a lot of mileage out of the “Nightmare” concept. It was incorporated into a worldwide concert tour, a film, and a TV special featuring all the tracks from the album.
